A happy life is one that is balanced and integrated combining personal satisfaction and a healthy work ethos.
Professional coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organisations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance and enhance their quality of life.
In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Coaching accelerates the client’s progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future, recognising that results are a matter of the client’s intentions, choices and actions, supported by the coach’s efforts and application of the coaching process.
Coaching: Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought–provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential.
Further information on coaching:
The field of coaching is relatively new and has grown exponentially over the last twenty years. Many specialist approaches, areas and styles have evolved during this time, including; business coaching, performance coaching, career, developmental, somatic, leadership, life coaching and many others besides. Most coaches use a blend of skills and competencies that draw from the latest research in a range of areas including: developmental psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness, somatics, pedagogy and leadership theory.
I have trained and taken courses with some of the most outstanding schools of coaching. As a result I have developed an approach that is both richly eclectic and informed by my own personal growth. Rather than adhering to one particular methodology I bring to coaching a wide range of competencies informed by a lifetime involved in high achieving music performance & education. I am a presence-based developmental (leadership) coach who works with a broad range of people including those starting out in new careers or making career-life transitions or indeed those well established who seek further growth and learning.
Working with clients we explore a broad range of experiences in career and life. This increases self-awareness and with increased awareness we develop clarity on what is important to us. When we are clearer and more informed about what matters to us we can make better choices. Some coaching approaches focus primarily on the intellect. However, when I work with clients we explore deeply using the mind, emotions and the body. This expanded approach provides the opportunity for accelerated learning, growth and change. The object is for clients to develop increased capacity and competencies rather than focus on goals. Whilst working with clients we devise clear and focussed outcomes that are underpinned by a strong commitment/purpose statement. By the end of a coaching journey my aspiration is that clients will have developed and grown competencies and skills they can use in all of their lives rather than achieving a set goal in one area.
